South Korean government data showed that exports fell by 4.3 percent year-on-year since the start of this month, partly due to a slowdown in shipments to the United States following the U.S. tariff measures.

Exports were valued at $14.7 billion from August 1 to 10, compared to $15.4 billion during the same period last year.

According to data from the Korea Customs Service, imports fell by 13.6 percent year-on-year to $15.9 billion during the period, resulting in a trade deficit of $1.2 billion.
