Dr. Khaled Hanafy, Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Chambers, has joined the membership of the Global Council of Donors, affiliated with the Regional Network for Social Responsibility. The council was established in 2024 with the aim of supporting the grants sector and maximizing the impact of its activities, by the Network, which has been linked to the grants sector for more than ten years. The Network has organized specialized conferences in the field of grants and contributed to developing training programs to build the capacities of workers in the grants sector in Arab countries.
Dr. Khaled Hanafy expressed his pride and honor in joining the Global Council of Donors affiliated with the Regional Network for Social Responsibility. He affirmed that the Regional Network for Social Responsibility is one of the leading institutions in the Arab world, playing a vital role in raising awareness of social responsibility and promoting its practices in companies and institutions—whether in the public, private, or civil sectors.
The Secretary-General of the Union highlighted the deep cooperation between the Union of Arab Chambers and the Regional Network for Social Responsibility, emphasizing that this cooperation primarily aims to serve Arab societies and promote sustainable development.
He expressed his aspiration for more coordination and joint work in the upcoming phase, in order to achieve the noble goals of social responsibility at the Arab level.
It is worth noting that the “Global Council of Donors” is a non-profit initiative adopted by the Regional Network for Social Responsibility to enhance integration and coordination among donor entities in Arab and Islamic countries.
The Global Council of Donors works on providing professional and technical support to donor entities in Arab and Islamic countries through specialized consulting services offered by experts with deep knowledge of donor institutions' work. It also implements training programs in the fields of donor institutions’ activities, in addition to contributing to the design of initiatives and projects that meet community needs using scientific tools and mechanisms, followed by studies to measure the impact of these projects and present them to donor institutions.
