Algerian Minister of Tourism Houria Meddahi revealed that Algeria’s tourism sector aims to receive 4 million tourists by the end of the current year, relying on promotional campaigns and the simplification of administrative procedures.

The minister explained that Algeria welcomed about 3.5 million tourists in 2024, including roughly 2.5 million foreign tourists and one million members of the Algerian diaspora.

She added that these figures were achieved thanks to promotional campaigns and streamlined administrative procedures, particularly through the visa adopted for foreign tourists arriving in the provinces of the vast Deep South.
