Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam revealed, "We are facing suffering caused by the Israeli war, a war that has cost us, and continues to cost, many lives and has also destroyed vital infrastructure and basic services across the country. This requires a damage assessment. Based on this assessment, we have estimated the needs at approximately $11 billion."

He pointed out "The level of destruction is very great, but more important is the urgent need to respond, not only with compassion, but also through strategies and coordination, and with a determination to return families and residents to their regions and towns."

He revealed, "The effects of the conflict have led to a 7.1 percent contraction in Lebanon's real GDP in 2024, a significant decline compared to the 0.9 percent projection." By the end of 2024, the cumulative decline in Lebanon's GDP since 2020 will have approached 40 percent, exacerbating the effects of the economic slowdown and impacting economic growth prospects.
