The Qatar Central Bank's international reserves and foreign currency liquidity rose by 3.60 percent year-on-year, reaching $70.9 billion, its highest level ever.
Figures released by the Qatar Central Bank showed that official international reserves rose by 4.6 percent year-on-year to approximately $54.7 billion by the end of May. The increase was supported by an increase in gold reserves of approximately $4.4 billion, reaching $12.2 billion, while the central bank's holdings of foreign bonds and treasury bills declined by approximately $1.7 billion to $36.5 billion.
