A report issued by QNB showed a decline in global growth amid mounting headwinds, driven by deteriorating prospects for international trade, a broad-based underperformance in both advanced and developing economies, and tight financial conditions that negatively impact consumption and investment.

According to preliminary estimates, growth rates across economies were likely to stabilize around last year's levels, supporting a global growth rate of around 3.3 percent. However, following trade uncertainty caused by the United States, growth forecasts have been significantly lowered, with the projected rate for this year standing at 2.8 percent, significantly lower than initial forecasts and below the long-term average of 3.5 percent for the period from 2000 to 2024.
