The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has predicted that the travel and tourism sector will contribute to injecting about 124.2 billion riyals into the Qatari economy in 2025, representing 15 percent of GDP. The growth momentum in this sector is expected to continue to reach about 166.6 billion riyals, equivalent to 15.5 percent of GDP by 2035.
The Council estimated that total spending by international visitors in Qatar will reach about QR98.8 billion in 2025, with continued growth of QR144.7 billion by 2035, at a compound annual growth rate of 3.9 percent.
