Foreign investment in Tunisia grew by 26 percent during the first quarter of this year, driven by increased direct investment in the manufacturing sector. Figures released by the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (Agence Fédération Internationale de Promotion de l'Investissement Foreigne, AFI) showed that Tunisia achieved foreign investments worth approximately 731 million dinars ($231 million) during the first three months of 2025, compared to 597.5 million dinars during the same period last year, an increase of 26 percent.
The same data showed that foreign direct investment in the manufacturing sector led the investment growth, accounting for 45 percent of investments, compared to 39 percent in the energy sector and 15 percent in the services sector. Foreign investment in the agricultural sector did not exceed 1 percent.
