The PMI showed employment growth rising to its highest level in more than a decade, with a strong increase in employment levels as a result of higher sales and increased business activity. Employment numbers have continued to rise in the strong growth trend that began in February 2023. The latest increase in the workforce was the fastest since October 2014.

The data showed that the increased demand for labor led to a significant increase in job opportunities in the non-oil private sector. Along with this employment growth, wage costs also rose to their highest level, impacting input price inflation.
