Tourism Malaysia has revealed its goal of attracting 45 million visitors as part of its "Visit Malaysia Year 2026" campaign.
Manoharan Priyasamy, the agency's director general, explained that this goal is expected to be achieved based on the number of visitors arriving in Malaysia, which exceeded 38 million last year. He noted that the number of visitors to Malaysia increased by 31.3 percent to 6.7 million by February 2025, compared to 5.1 million during the same period last year. Visitors from Singapore, China, and India were among the main contributors to this increase.
