Qatar aims to attract $100 billion in foreign investment

Qatar's Minister of Commerce and Industry, Sheikh Faisal bin Thani Al Thani, revealed that the Ministry's strategic plan (2024-2030) aims to attract $100 billion in foreign direct investment to strengthen Qatar's position as a center for innovation and an investment haven. He emphasized that the plan aims to diversify the economy, support non-oil manufacturing industries, and achieve a compound annual growth rate of 3.4 percent. He explained that the plan is based on four pillars: institutional empowerment, improving the business environment, developing local industries and trade exchange, and protecting consumers.

Al Thani presented to the Qatari Shura Council the main pillars of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry's strategic plan for 2024-2030, and its efforts to promote economic diversification, develop the business environment, and support non-oil sectors in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
