The dollar fell on Tuesday, approaching its lowest level in three years, as investor confidence in the US economy further deteriorated due to President Donald Trump's continued attacks on the chairman of the Federal Reserve.
The US currency fell to near a 10-year low it hit yesterday against the Swiss franc and hovered near a 3.5-year low against the euro.
Trump escalated his criticism of Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell in a post on his Truth Social platform, calling him a "big loser" and demanding that he cut interest rates "immediately" or the economy would be at risk of slowing down.
