Morocco welcomed 4 million tourists during the first quarter of this year, a 22% growth compared to the same period in 2024. According to the Moroccan Ministry of Tourism, arrivals included 2.1 million foreign tourists and 1.9 million Moroccans residing abroad.
Moroccan Minister of Tourism, Fatima Zahra Ammor, noted that "during last March, which coincided with the holy month of Ramadan, Morocco welcomed approximately 1.4 million tourists, recording a 17% growth compared to March 2024."
Tourism accounts for approximately 7% of Morocco's GDP and is a major source of employment and foreign currency.
