Oil prices fell on Monday, amid concerns that the escalating trade war between China and the United States could weaken global economic growth and undermine fuel demand.

Brent crude futures fell 29 cents, or 0.45 percent, to $64.47 a barrel. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures fell 27 cents, or 0.44 percent, to $61.23 a barrel.

Both crudes have lost about $10 a barrel since the beginning of the month, as the trade war between the world's two largest economies escalates.
