12 New Foreign Investments Entered Kuwait in 2024

Figures from the Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (Daman) showed a decline in foreign direct investment projects in Arab countries in 2024 by about 0.4 percent to reach 2,106 projects. Its investment cost also fell by 41 percent to about 113 billion dollars, and the number of jobs by 9 percent to about 181,000 compared to 2023.

According to the institution, the number of direct investment projects imported to the UAE was the highest in the Gulf with 1,322 projects worth $ 14.52 billion. Saudi Arabia followed the Gulf with 330 projects worth 21.91 billion. Qatar ranked third with 118 projects costing 2.18 billion, followed by Bahrain and Oman with 24 projects costing 962 million and 982 million, respectively. The number of foreign direct investment projects in Kuwait reached 12 projects at a cost of $ 137 million.
