Five of the world's richest people, including Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg, lost $209 billion of their wealth after Donald Trump was inaugurated as president of the United States in January, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
Shares of Elon Musk's Tesla rose 98 percent in the weeks following the election, hitting an all-time high. French giant LVMH, owned by billionaire Bernard Arnault, added a 7 percent profit in the week before Inauguration Day, making the French business mogul about $12 billion richer. Even Zuckerberg's Meta earned 9 percent profit just before his inauguration and an additional 20 percent in his first four weeks in office.
