The UAE's real GDP grew by 3.8 percent, worth AED 1.32 trillion, during the first nine months of 2024, compared to the same period in 2023. According to the Ministry of Economy, the non-oil GDP achieved a growth of 4.5 percent, worth 987 billion dirhams. The contribution of non-oil activities to real GDP was 74.6 percent, while oil activities contributed 25.4 percent.
The most prominent economic activities growing in GDP were transport and storage activities, which witnessed a growth of 7.9 percent, driven by the outstanding performance of passenger and flight traffic at UAE airports, which recorded more than 103 million passengers and a growth rate of about 20 percent.
