Tunisia's economy grew by 1.4 percent for the full year 2024, against the government's expectations of 1.6 percent.
According to the Institute of Statistics, the agricultural sector led the engine of growth last year, recording a development in value added by 12.1 percent during the fourth third of 2024. Its contribution was also estimated at 0.97 percentage points to the recorded GDP growth rate.
The data showed an increase in the value-added of the laboratory industries sector by 1.5 percent, due to the increase in the value added of the agricultural and food industries sectors by 2.1 percent.
