The Federation of Saudi Chambers signed an agreement to establish a Saudi-Kenyan Business Council to enhance economic and investment cooperation between the two countries in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the visit of the delegation of the Federation of Saudi Chambers to Kenya, where it was signed by the President of the Federation Hassan Al-Huwaizi and the President of the Kenya Chamber of Commerce Eric Ruto. The agreement comes to enhance the development of trade relations between the two countries, as the volume of trade exchange is $ 1.6 billion during 2022, with Saudi exports accounting for 91 percent, compared to 9 percent for Kenyan imports.
Kenyan Minister of Trade and Industry Musa Kyari has proposed a plan that includes 23 axes to strengthen and develop economic relations with the Kingdom, including the establishment of a joint business council.
