Qatar Central Bank (QCB) reviewed the main indicators of the banking sector that achieved growth during the month of December 2024 compared to December 2023.
The total assets of commercial banks increased in December 2024 to reach 2.05 trillion riyals, an increase of 3.9 percent, compared to the same month of 2023. Total domestic deposits during December 2024 increased to reach 826.7 billion riyals, a growth of 2.4 percent, compared to the same month of 2023.
Total domestic credit rose during December to reach 1.28 trillion riyals, a growth of 4.2 percent compared to December 2023. While domestic liquidity represented by the money supply "M2" decreased by 0.6% to reach about 718.2 billion riyals in December 2024.
