Qatar Central Bank data showed that the total deposits of commercial banks at the end of November 2024 increased by 6.17 percent annually, recording about 1.04 trillion riyals, compared to 981.53 billion riyals during the same period last year. Total public sector deposits increased by 12 percent year-on-year, recording 369.4 billion riyals, compared to 329.54 billion riyals, during the same period last year. Private sector deposits also increased to reach 474.38 billion riyals in November 2024, compared to 469.53 billion riyals in November 2023, rising by 1 percent in a year. The net foreign assets of Qatari commercial banks during November amounted to 409.33 billion riyals, compared to their level of 384.51 billion riyals in November 2023.
