Egypt's Average Hotel Occupancy Exceeds 58%

The average occupancy in Egypt's hotels exceeded 58.5% in the first 9 months of this year due to the operating hotel capacity, which is about 222.7 thousand rooms.

Average occupancy is expected to rise to about 65% by the end of the last quarter of this year with the growth of travel to Egypt during the months of November and December, as October witnessed a significant improvement in occupancy in the Red Sea, Cairo, Luxor and Aswan regions.

The number of tourist arrivals to Egypt during the first 7 months of this year exceeded 8 million tourists, with expectations to exceed 15 million tourists by the end of 2024, and tourism income exceeded $ 14 billion.
