UAE airports achieved record performance, recording 150 million passengers in 2024, compared to 134 million last year. This reflects the strong performance of the air transport sector in the UAE, supported by advanced infrastructure, national carriers, and a wide network of international agreements, which link the UAE to more than 90% of the world's countries.
Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), stressed the importance of the civil aviation sector as a major contributor to the UAE's GDP, noting that the country's air transport network serves more than 400,000 passengers per day, 12 million passengers per month, as well as transporting 10,000 tons of goods per day.
