Remittances from Jordanian Expatriates Up 3.2% to $2.64 Billion

Data issued by the Central Bank of Jordan revealed that remittances from Jordanian expatriates increased by 3.2 percent during the first nine months of this year.

The data showed that the remittances of Jordanian expatriates reached about $ 2.64 billion, compared to about $ 2.56 billion during the same period in 2023.

The IMF team of experts reached an agreement with the Jordanian authorities on the second review of an economic reform program, and the completion of the review is expected to provide $131 million to Jordan.

The agreement is subject to approval by the Fund's management and Executive Board, and will allow the completion of this review to another $131 million out of the previously agreed program size of approximately $1.2 billion."
