Jordan: Inflation Rises, Tourism Revenues Decline

Data from Jordan's Department of Statistics showed that the inflation rate in October rose 0.76 percent year-on-year. On a monthly basis, it fell 0.25 percent.

The report for the third quarter of 2024 of the Executive Program of the Economic Modernization Vision for the period 2023-2025, within the axis of "Jordan as a global destination", showed a decline in revenues and visitors during the first nine months of the year on an annual basis.

The data shows that tourism income between January and September amounted to about 3.9 billion dinars ($5.48 billion), down from $5.82 billion a year ago. As for the number of tourists, it reached 4.7 million visitors during the mentioned period, compared to 5.58 million visitors during the same period last year.
