Russia's Gold Reserves Grow 4% in October

Russia's gold reserves witnessed a record and remarkable rise during the month of October to reach $ 207.7 billion.

According to the Russian Central Bank, "gold reserves reached a new record level at the end of last month, and rose by 4%, to reach $ 207.7 billion, compared to last September at $ 199.8 billion."

Gold is part of Russia's international reserves, which reached the level of $ 632.7 billion earlier this month, which are highly liquid assets, including foreign exchange, gold and special drawing rights. Russia ranks fifth in the world in reserves of the precious metal, and in the third quarter of 2018, it topped the world with the growth of gold reserves, surpassing countries such as China and India.
