Inflation Rate in Germany Rises To 2% in October

The Federal Statistical Office in Germany revealed that the inflation rate rose to 2% in October on an annual basis, compared to 1.6% last September.

According to the bureau's data, food prices increased by 2.3%, services by 4%, and energy prices fell 5.5% year-on-year in October.

Inflation has fallen in recent months to 1.6% in September and 1.9% in August. Core inflation rose to 2.9% in October from 2.7% in September, according to ONB data.
