The Ministry of Commerce and Supply has issued new export and import controls to regulate foreign trade. The controls in the general conditions of export aim that the commodity is not prohibited from export and that the company holding the register is not a national company or holds an investment license, or has previously been convicted of a criminal offense related to the activity of export or import, or prohibited from export procedures or a comprehensive banking ban.

The controls showed the importance of presenting a real issued contract signed by the exporting and importing parties and documented by the Sudanese embassy or the Chamber of Commerce in the importer's country, and that the contract is the document under which all banking and customs procedures take place, and the authorities related to the activity of the exporter were prevented from amending any of the contract data except after referring to the Ministry of Trade and Supply, and bringing a no-objection certificate from the competent technical authority for private goods.
