The Secretary-General of the Arab Air Carriers Association, Abdul Wahab Tuffaha, expected that Arab airlines will record an increase of 12% in 2019, compared to international airlines, which will not exceed 8%, and that Arab airports will also achieve an increase of about 22% compared to the world's airports, which will achieve an increase of about 4%.

He pointed out that the quality of service provided to the traveler and the facilities provided by Arab airports are among the most prominent factors that attract those wishing to travel of different nationalities.

Regarding the continuation of this record growth in the coming years, Tuffaha said that this depends on the ability of airports and companies to develop by replacing their existing fleets, as although Air Arabia has the youngest fleet in the world in terms of age, the difficulties faced by the supply chain of the aircraft industry pose a challenge to its growth, especially with the lack of delivery of new aircraft.
