Russia Records Budget Surplus during the First Nine Months of the Year

Russia posted a budget surplus of 169 billion rubles ($1.74 billion), equivalent to 0.1 percent of GDP, during the first nine months of the year, according to the Finance Ministry.

Revenues in the budget for January-September amounted to 26.289 trillion rubles, while expenditures were 26.120 trillion rubles, resulting in a surplus of 0.169 trillion rubles, equivalent to 0.1 percent of GDP.

As for the forecast for 2024, revenues are expected to reach 36.111 trillion rubles, while expenditures will amount to 39.407 trillion rubles, indicating a projected deficit of 3.296 trillion rubles, with a percentage of GDP of -1.7 percent.
