Oil prices rose on Wednesday as worries about Tropical Storm France, which could disrupt crude supplies, overcame concerns about demand.

Brent crude futures rose 39 cents, or 0.6 percent, to $69.58 a barrel, while U.S. crude futures were at $66.19 a barrel, up 44 cents, or 0.7 percent.

The prices of the two benchmark crudes fell by about three dollars on Tuesday, with Brent hitting its lowest level since December 2021 and West Texas Intermediate crude falling to its lowest level since May 2023, after OPEC+ cut its demand forecast for the current and next years.
