Remittances of Egyptians Abroad Rise By 78%

The Central Bank of Egypt revealed that the remittances of Egyptians working abroad grew during July, and for the fifth consecutive month, by 86.8 percent to record about $ 3 billion, compared to 1.6 billion during July 2023.

The CBE report showed an increase in remittances by 15.9 percent, compared to June 2024, during which it recorded about $ 2.6 billion. During the first seven months of this year, remittances from Egyptians working abroad increased by 32.4 percent to reach about 15.5 billion, compared to about 11.7 billion dollars during the same period of the previous year.
