Despite Inflation.. Wealth Growth in Turkey By 157% is the Fastest Globally in 2023

Turkey is miles ahead of the rest of the world in the annual global wealth ranking, and wealth has grown by more than 157 percent, despite rising inflation and a falling lira.

 

According to Swiss bank UBS in its 2024 Global Wealth Report, Turkey is characterized by a staggering growth of more than 157 percent in the wealth of each adult between 2022 and 2023.

 

The next countries in terms of average wealth growth per adult were Russia, Qatar at around 20 percent and South Africa at just over 16 percent. In the United States, average wealth per adult rose by about 2.5 percent.
