The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism revealed that the number of tourists reached more than 7 million, and revenues reached $ 6.6 billion during the first half of this year, exceeding what was achieved during the same period last year. Egypt adopts a plan for the growth of the tourism sector, which represents an important figure in its general budget with a revenue of $ 13.2 billion during the last year (2023), after attracting 14.9 million tourists, in a new record exceeding the peak year of tourism in 2010.
Amr El-Kady, head of the Egypt Tourism Board, attributed the maintenance of records in Egyptian tourism despite the repercussions of the Gaza war to "the concerted efforts of the government represented by the Ministry of Tourism, the Tourism Promotion Authority, and the private sector represented by companies and hotels."
