The World Bank expects financial remittances from Arab expatriates to their countries of origin to grow by the end of this year, supported by the significant increase in migrant remittances in many countries. The bank stated that cash transfers to the Middle East and North Africa region will rebound by 4.3 percent during 2024 to reach $58 billion. This expected growth comes after it declined last year by 15 percent in annual comparison to reach $55 billion due to a decline in remittances to Egypt, which is considered the largest recipient of remittances in the Arab region at all.
