Official data released by the National Foreign Exchange Authority showed that China's foreign exchange reserves rose to 3.23 trillion US dollars by the end of May, up 0.98 percent from the end of April.

The CMA attributed this growth to the combined impact of currency exchange and asset price changes. Factors such as the monetary policy outlook and macroeconomic data of major economies contributed to the decline in the US dollar index and the rise in global financial asset prices.
