Kuwait's Trade Balance Surplus Fell by 9.9% in January

Data released by Kuwait's Central Bureau of Statistics showed that the trade balance surplus recorded 1.15 billion dinars in January, down almost 10 percent year-on-year, from 1.27 billion a year ago. Imports fell to 939.5 million dinars in January, compared to 1.015 billion dinars a year ago, while exports recorded 2.088 billion dinars, compared to 2.291 billion dinars in the corresponding period.

Exports of oil and its derivatives amounted to 1.9 billion dinars in the first months of this year, down significantly from 2.15 billion dinars in the same period of 2023.
