Fitch Solutions' research subsidiary BMI has forecast inbound tourism to Saudi Arabia to grow 18.9 percent to 31.3 million visitors this year. Last year saw inbound tourism return to the Kingdom's pre-pandemic levels with an estimated 26.3 million visitors.

According to BMI, the number of tourists coming to the Kingdom will continue to rise between 2024 and 2028, reaching 36.1 million visitors in 2028, representing an average annual growth rate of 6.7 percent during that period. The kingdom's revenues from international tourism were estimated to rise about 19 percent to $23.9 billion in 2024, thanks to growing visitor numbers, before rising again to $28.1 billion in 2028.
