Central Bank of Iraq: Cash Credit Ratio Increased By 52 Percent

The Central Bank of Iraq revealed that the ratio of cash credit to the total deposits of the Iraqi banking sector will reach 52 percent in 2023, an increase compared to 2022, where it recorded 47 percent, while in 2021 it was around 55 percent.

According to the Central Bank of Iraq, although the rise was recorded, it did not exceed the standard percentage set by this bank of 75 percent. He pointed out that this ratio aims to maintain sufficient liquidity in banks to face customer withdrawals and conduct financial banking activities.
