Global corporate profits hit all-time highs of $1.66 trillion in 2023, with record bank distributions accounting for half of growth.
On a global basis, 86 percent of listed companies have either increased or maintained dividends, according to the Janus Henderson Quarterly World Earnings Index (JHGDI) report, which predicted dividends to reach a new record high of $1.72 trillion this year. The world's largest dividends in 2023 were Microsoft, followed by Apple and ExxonMobil.
