Oil prices rose in early trading on Tuesday, while traders focused on US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's visit to the Middle East to see if it would contribute to a truce in the Palestinian Gaza Strip.
Brent crude futures rose 20 cents two cents to $78.19 a barrel. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures also rose 20 cents to $72.98 a barrel. Both contracts rose nearly 1 percent on Monday, the first rise in four sessions.
