About 70 million people live in 10 Arab cities, including the emirate of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, and Cairo topped the list of Arab cities with more than one million people with a total of 22.62 million people, followed by the Iraqi capital Baghdad with a total of 7.92 million people, and the Saudi capital Riyadh third with a total of 7.82 million people. The Sudanese capital, Khartoum, came in fourth place with a total of 6.54 million people, and the fifth city of Alexandria in Egypt with a total of 5.69 million people. Jeddah in Saudi Arabia ranked sixth with a total of 4.94 million people, followed by Casablanca in Morocco with a total of 3.95 million people. After Dubai, which came in eighth place with 3.65 million people, came the city of Sana'a in Yemen with a total of 3.40 million people, and the Kuwaiti capital with a total of 3.35 million people.
