Inflation in Saudi Arabia fell to 1.5 percent

Official data showed that the annual inflation rate in Saudi Arabia slowed to 1.5 percent in December from 1.7 percent in November.

Data issued by the General Authority for Statistics revealed that housing, water, electricity, gas, and fuel prices increased by 7.5 percent, while food and beverage prices increased by 1.2 percent.

The data revealed that actual housing rents in the Kingdom increased by 9.0 percent in December 2023, and was affected by the increase in apartment rental prices by 12.1 percent, as the rise in this group had a significant impact on the rise in annual inflation for the month of December 2023, due to its large weight in the index, which It is 21.0 percent.
