Inflation Rate in Saudi Arabia Slowed down for the Fifth Month

The consumer price index (inflation rate) in Saudi Arabia reached 1.6 percent during October 2023, compared to October 2022, which is lower than the previous month September 2023 year-on-year when it was 1.7 percent.

According to data from the Saudi General Authority for Statistics, the inflation rate slowed for the fifth consecutive month, recording the slowest pace in 20 months (January 2022). The percentage change in the consumer price index continued to decline in September for the fifth consecutive month, from 2.8 percent in May to 2.7 percent in June, 2.3 percent in July, 2 percent in August and 1.7 percent in September.

The CPI reached 109.86 points in October 2023, compared to 108.11 points in October 2022, and 109.72 points in September 2023.
