Wall Street has revealed that tech giants are stepping up their strides in the AI race, based on their July-September financial results.
Google, the world's number one online advertising company, saw its quarterly profit jump 42 percent year-on-year to nearly $20 billion, beating Wall Street expectations. “Amazon”, which has yet to train its own AI model, will invest up to $4 billion in “Anthropic”, a competitor to “OpenAI”.
Apple, which has always been keen to differentiate by not being automatically drawn into the mainstream in the sector, has not been able to escape the issues associated with generative artificial intelligence.
