Microsoft Groups and Alphabet, the owner of Google, achieved results well above expectations for the third quarter of 2023. Thanks to the advertising recovery, Alphabet achieved nearly $77 billion in revenue in the period between July and September, an increase of 11 percent year-on-year.
The group posted a net profit of nearly $20 billion, a 42 percent one-year increase for Google's parent company, and more than $1 billion above analysts' expectations. Microsoft generated $56.5 billion in revenue, up 13 percent over a one-year period in the first fiscal quarter. Its net profit was about $22.3 billion, up 27 percent, also higher than expected.
