The international reserves and foreign currency liquidity of the Qatar Central Bank jumped in September 12.8 percent, to the level of 242.73 billion riyals ($ 66.68 billion), compared to 215.18 billion riyals in the same month of 2022.
Data issued by the Qatar Central Bank showed that official reserves rose year-on-year by about 26.47 billion riyals, to reach 183.94 billion riyals, driven by the rise in the Central Bank's balances of bonds and foreign treasury bills by about 20.67 billion riyals, to the level of 132.18 billion riyals in September. Official reserves consist of key components, namely bonds and foreign treasury bills, cash balances with foreign banks, gold holdings, special drawing rights deposits, and Qatar's share in the International Monetary Fund.
