Visa Enters the Field of Generative Artificial Intelligence

Visa Payments Services plans to enter the field of generative artificial intelligence in the coming period, joining the wave of companies competing to adopt this advanced and controversial technology. The company unveiled a plan to inject about $100 million into companies focused on generative artificial intelligence.

Visa, which has described itself as a "pioneer of the use of artificial intelligence" in global payments since 1993, announced that it is targeting projects capable of shaping the way trade is managed in the future.

David Rolfe, CEO of Visa's investment arm, Visa Ventures, said: "We are excited to increase our focus on investing in some of the startups backed by the most innovative and revolutionary projects across AI, commerce, and payments."
