Inflation in Qatar Records a Year-On-Year Rise Of 2.38 Percent

Qatar's consumer price index recorded a level of 106.25 points in August, a decrease of 0.58 percent compared to the previous July, and an increase of 2.38 percent year-on-year compared to the same month of August in 2022.

A report issued by the Planning and Statistics Authority showed that the monthly decline in the index last August compared to the previous July was due to the decrease in 6 groups, namely, the entertainment and culture group 3.37 percent, followed by transportation 1.65 percent, the clothing and footwear group 0.99 percent, the other goods and services group 0.14 percent, the housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels group 0.79 percent, and the restaurants and hotels group 0.13 percent.
