The World Bank revealed that one in four Palestinians lives below the poverty line, expecting the Palestinian economy to continue to operate far below its means.

According to a report issued by the Bank, there are a range of financial obstacles and restrictions imposed by the Israeli occupation, which impede access to health care services, which negatively affects the population, especially in the Gaza Strip, which has been besieged for several years.

Palestine's GDP in 2022 was about $ 18 billion, while poverty reached very high rates, and out of every 4 Palestinians, approximately one Palestinian lives below the poverty line.

The World Bank noted that reform efforts by the Palestinian Authority are necessary, but not sufficient to achieve the much-needed growth and fiscal sustainability.
